Coolant Leak

I was installing a new exhaust on my '88 last night and noticed a small dripping leak of coolant above the oil cooler. It looks like it is coming from the rear driver side exhaust manifold.......now I know that the rear of the intake and the base of the head is right there, but it really looks like it is coming from the exhaust manifold.

Is that even possible??

What could it be.

What you see is running down the exhaust manifold. It is probably coming from the head.

coolant leak

I had the same leak on my 90 L-98 and it turned out to be one of the coolant hoses going to the oil cooler.I thought it was the head gasket. The way to check is to hook up a coolant pressure tester and pressurize the system.Good luck.
