so i have noticed that my bigblock has been running a little warm lately. at idle it sits right about the middle between 210 and the red line.
i read about flushing the system with white vinegar. so, i pour some in and crank her up until it is up to operating temp. i then let it cool off and install one of the backflushing systems from prestone. i turned the water on and cranked the engine. brown water came out for 20 minutes. it started out dark brown but eventually because clear. that cant be normal.
hopefully this will stop the hot temps, i also have a mark viii fan in the mail but id rather not have to install it yet.
