The upper tranny cooling line is leaking at the connection to the radiator. Do I need to replace the entire line, or just snip off a bit of hose and refasten it?

Hose

Silver,
You can probably get away with snipping of a bit of hose if the rest of the hose is good.

Hose

Beee Veewy Cawful! Make sure to use the proper hose designed for tranny fluid. Gas line will rot out after a few weeks. 5/16 line is what GM uses.

...not hunting wabbits...

Thanks for the tip, Fast! I will keep that in mind if I replace the hoses, I was just planning on snipping the end off and refastening it, but if they need to be replaced, I am sure an auto-parts store would know the difference between gas and tranny fluid lines...I'll just make sure I mention what it is for!

I had the same problem a while back and all I did was get a 90 degree ratchet screw driver and tighten the clamp.
