Just noticed a slightly larger space near the front corner of hood on my 2011 GS Convertible. Not sure if its from someone trying to pry it open or maybe when I was lowering hood? Space is very small, maybe 1/8" but no longer flush. Any thoughts on how this may have happened and what I might be able to do to make it flush again. Really don't want to replace hood. Thanks for any and all recommendations.

SGF, not sure if this what you are experiencing. I own a similar corvette 2011 GS Conv. The problem I had was that the hood was not closing or near impossible to close. Dealership was unable to correct the problem (they were and are incompetent. In my case I noticed that the hood on the right side when closed was not level with the fender. There is a latch which the hood latches onto when closed which was sitting to low in the engine compartment. After 2 attempts (loosing the nuts and moving latch upward so it would start to latch earlier), I was able to close the hood with little effort and the hood and fender are now level with each other. If this is similar to your problem, not sure if its lower or higher (probably higher) the alignment is easy to correct. Since you mentioned no problem with closing of the hood I suspect your hood is higher the the fender in ita aligment.

Thanjs! Took it to very comoetent dealer/service Vette body guy. Found out it eas the hole drillef for the clip r,that holds the bumoer cover in place was a little off. They expect to be able to adjyst it ans should be ok. Thanjs agajn.

Glad you got it resolved! :thumb

FWIW- Little things like adjustments to the hood drive me nuts too. :W
