Correct Fan

What is the correct fan size in inches for the 65 vette? Have any of you gone with an aftermarket fan and have recommendations? I have the 327/350 without AC. My concern is the fan that is on my vette is within 1/8 to 1/4 inch of hitting the tubbing that sits right next to it (connects to the radiator). It has hit it before because I see the indentions into the tubbing. I think that I have the wrong fan size. Thanks!

17 and 1/8 inches, 5-blade. A/C cars use 18 inch 7-blade fans.

I measured the fan that is on my vett it's 18 inches with 5 blades. I do not have AC. I am wanting to switch it out for a 17 inch fan. Thanks for the post.

some would say that although the AIM calls out for the 7-blade fan for a/c C2s in later years, it was never put on in production . . . .

Ordered the 17 inch fan and the new lower radiator hose. After todays heat the 18 inch fan started hitting the lower radiator hose and rubbing it bad. Can't drive it until I put these new parts on! Thanks for the help. Anyone need a 18 inch fan blade....
