I recently purchased a '96 LT4 and it is missing the jack. Are these date coded correct to the vehicle or can any one from the C4 series work as substitutes .
Thanks in advance for the info.

You probably don't have a spare tire either. Check your tires, many are the run flat variety, they can run with 0 (zero) tire pressure. If you have the original window sticker and it shows a $ credit for a spare tire, you won't have a jack either. I carry a 'Slime' kit, tire sealant and pressurized bottle that should keep you running OK unless you have major damage to your tire.

Klaus, thanks for the reply. I do have a spare tire and regular tires. I recently purchased a jack and it has numbers on the bottom side of the unthreaded block where the screw passes thru. I am wondering how to decode those numbers. Have you got an idea?
Thanks again

Sorry, sure don't have any information. You might raise the question on this forum. Lots of knowledgeable people.
