Corvette Magazine Breaks Cover on the 2006 Z06

>>>>>>>the base C6 is ALREADY a fantastic car and a couple of crumbs from the Z06 'table' would make it even more so.<<<<<<

Well said. I just want enough crumbs given to the convertible to get the HP near 450. Is that too much to ask?

Hmmm... I've had the magazine for weeks now, and I'm looking at it right now, but I cannot find an article on the new Z06. It's the exact same cover (the January issue), and I just flipped through each page individually just to be sure, and it does not contain any article on the new Z06. :confused

There's one article on the new C6, entitled "If Looks Could Kill", and that car is silver. Where'd you find that article Rob, in the hard copy of the magazine, or online?
Same here - No C6 Z06 article or pics in mine either. I thought I missed the big story!!! The only yellow vette in the issue is the Pace Car featured in one of the articles.

The first one I think was sent out by mistake, I zoomed on that first posted cover and it says MARCH. They changed the cover now for January.
Who knows this might have been planned or a big mistake, anyhow it is a nice early Christmas gift! :D

Something tells me Corvette Magazine has made a real big boo-boo, but I cannot confirm.

If this was a boo-boo, than unfortunatly someone is not going to get a christmas bonus at Corvette Magazine.:ugh I bet GM is not amused, I feel for the person getting a a$$ chewing over this! :duh

I don't know. I honestly don't know what to think. Part of me is feeling like I should not have posted the article and pics, but if they are out there...on a Magazine's web site, then how can I justify, not allowing them to be posted here as well?

Regardless...I'm working on an editorial article about this issue which will appear in the Wheelspin forum here.

Let's hope they have the Christamas spirit and let it slide. So what, a few hard core Corvette nuts got to see it a few days early. No harm done. In fact to qoute the late Chris Farley (as Tommy Boy) "I've seen some crazy stuff in my time, but that... was... AWESOME. Oh, sorry about your car, man".

I look forward to your editorial. I agree with you posting the article and pictures when they are on a magazines web site, who's to know who's authorised to post the info. that everone wants to see. I think you did the right thing.
3 More weeks to the official presentation.

And I will be there!!!

Rob, I'm agreeing with everyone else here. You didn't do anything wrong by passing on what someone else had posted. If anyone get's in trouble it should the people at Corvette Magazine who slipped up in the first place.

Not a bad looking car. the 78-79 Z28 Hood Scoop though looks a bit out of place. Gonna be out of reach of most Vette buyers for a little bit as the price gouging takes place.

Interesting. All of a sudden, the images in the first post in this thread are now red-Xs. That happened within the last 1/2 hour.

If you saw the pictures before they were removed (assumption), consider yourself to have received an early Christmas present.

That's interesting Rob, when I posted 3 hrs ago I saw the pic's were taken down and and I posted that in my post, checked my e-mail and Ken (moderator) e-mailed me and said they were still up, checked your post again and they were up so I edited my post saying they were down. Thats pretty weird. :crazy I though you may have taken them down, ;shrug

Those pictures are not hosted on the Corvette Action Center's servers. They are hosted on Corvette Magazine's servers. If you right click your mouse and go to Properties over any of those photos, you'll see they are linked to Corvette Magazine's site address....not here.

I'm glad to see GM is finally trying some new things when it comes to advertising. It's certainly creating a buzz, much more than auto show coverage will.
