Amen! ;)

I will be in Bowling Green monday for a tour of the plant and the museum with our local Corvette club; was in Canada last weekend to see 67HEAVEN, sure do like driving my 97 :L

I wanna know two things:

1 - How do you get a job driving the world's finest sportscar around a historic track in Germany and....

2 - How did he get away with wearing a Ryan Newman ALLTEL #12 Dodge hat while testing a Corvette??

The funniest part out of the whole show, was Jim Dunne chasing the 2005 Mustang. I'm not sure if he really thought that was the C6, or if it was the Discovery film crew trying to implement some unnecessary drama into the show, but it was very obvious that he was not chasing any Corvette. :L

Un-necessary drama or not, I had to chuckle at how Dunne got thwarted twice before finally capturing his spy-cam photos. And Dave Hill calling him a crusty old cuss- now that was funny!

Watched the show also. Just think,,,,,200 miles in less than 90 mins. Too bad we don't have highways like that here in the U.S. Yes I want one too. I'll wait and get a used one though. But for now I'm still in love with my '86.

Awesome

Everytime they switched to the guy driving the Autobahn(spelling?) I started to whoop and giggle. I just couldn't help it... I can't wait to take delivery!:upthumbs

In addition to that, I came home to some other nice goodies about the C6 and C5-R on my TiVo. 3 Short films in total. 2 of them were about the track in Europe that they do testing on - one about the C5-R and one about the C6. There's also a promo film about the C6 features.

I have not watched the hour long show yet, but I did record it. Hopefully I'll get a chance tonight after the comedy in FL is done.
If you have TiVo, check your menu - you may have these goodies there too.

Watched it as well and enjoyed it. After reading ACAR you realize that they only touched on very little of the design of the car and what goes into the effort. Personally I could have used a little more info on the car instead of the thoughts of some Corvette Club. At the end of the show when interviewing the club members it seemed they had to search through the clips to find people that "liked" it. With remarks like "I'll have to get used to it" it seems not everyone was pleased.

For me? I WANT ONE!! I REALLY like this car and sitting in the car at the local dealer and looking over the fenders down the hood sealed it for me. It just screams power and it seems that it can back that up as well.

Excellent show! Like everyone else, I enjoyed the high speed in camera shots!

If you watch closely, you see a guy in a white polo shirt at the very beginning, saying "Corvette says it all." That was the ole' Zippy!

The Discovery Channel invited about 10-12 members of our Vette club to a Detroit area restaurant, Athen's Coney Island, to film segments for this show. They also filmed the C5 Registry members who came to Detroit last January for the public un-veiling of the C6. Additionally, our Vette club (America's Corvette club), was invited to see Dave Hill give us a private over-view of the C6..Dave was like a proud new father as he described all the great features on the new car. We were the ones in the yellow t-shirts at the Cobo Hall Show.

Can't wait to see it again this Sunday at 1Pm EST.

Zippy :) :)

It was a great show, and the high speed footage (mileage?) from Germany was almost too much to watch. Giddy up! I'll be watching it again on the 3rd. The more I see the C-6 the more I like it. Saw a couple at the Woodward Ave cruise back in August, and then got to see one up close a couple weeks ago at Terry Labonte Chevrolet in Greensboro, NC. Awesome looking car. Unfortunately it was too late in the day to get inside--I'm anxious to see the interior. Andy

I recorded it on Tivo and its great to watch the high speed runs over and over again... wow, 180mph and he's just sittin' there cruisin' down the autobahn like it was no big deal...!!!
