corvette retractable wipers c3

I was telling a friend at work (a younger guy) about the early c3 corvettes retractable (I don't know if retractable is the right word or not) wipers underneath the cowl panel, how when you turn on your wipers and a panel pops up and the wipers appear... and I couldn't find a video online anywhere that showed how they operate.

Anybody help me out? I'd settle for some pics and I can't find those either...

They made a door open like the head lights until 1973....then the hood was made longer and the wipers go down below it.

The wipers are not retractable; they're fixed. The wiper door opens and closes by vacuum on the 68-72 models.

When the wiper door opens to the point where the wiper arms will clear it, this plunger pushes the button on the switch and turns on the wiper motor.

Like I said, retractable wasn't the right word, but the wipers appear after the "vacuum operated door" lifts up and the wipers operate.
I am looking for "pictures" of the door open with the wipers operating (or a video).
(I used to have a 71 back in 1978)...

but I'm merely trying to explain this operation (and uniqueness) to someone at the office.
