I ran across this, low cost, mod on EBay.

Instead of replacing your computer or a chip in your computer our mod replaces a sensor that tells your computer you car or truck is taking in colder air. This in turn adjusts your air/fuel ratio slightly and frees up HP.

Cost is $9.99, shipping is free. Has anyone had any experience with this sensor? :confused

Thanks

No, but I would like to see some opinions on this...

Foget It

Nothing new - some people get the same results by installing a lower temperature thermostat. In the end the car runs way too rich and your gas milage drops.

don't do it!

I bought one of these for one of my cars, all it is, is a resistor! The original sensor has different resistances corresponding to the temperature which it is it sensing and the resistance changes as the car warms up. This "chip" which really is a resistor keeps the input value from the sensor as fixed not varying and the computer see it as a "cold" situation and adds more fuel. Hope this helps..... let m know if anyone else agrees...

Thanks for the info. The add says the same thing, by fooling the computer into thinking that the engine is cold. It adds more fuel. Guess, it would be running richer.

Yes, and if Im not mistaken,
the same Ebay guy sells a TB bypass kit that is useless.
The hose is too large, the plugs are oversized, and the clamps are useless too.

So I would not spend my $ on either product if it were my coin.

good luck

Saw dyno results posted with this mod. The full 20 hp gain was acheived, but you have to add the decal that comes with the kit and probably most important, you must make sure the decal is applied properly. Dyno showed NO gain without the decal
