Coupe leakes

My 94 coupe leaks when I run it in a car wash (touchless only) How do I fix it?

Between the window and top on drivers side. I'm a new owner of it and maybe I didn't have it on correct, but I don't think so cause it wasn't raddling or anything.

Your problem could be that your weather stripping could be hard or brittle.
You should coat all of your weather stripping with a lubricant inorder to make it more plyable.

Well then I consider myself lucky....through a bit of magic and hard work I have an 85 that does not leak at all...

The windows can be adjusted...you won't get much but just enough to help stop the leak, open up the door remove the door panel and remove the aluminum plate inside. You will see where the wondow is attached to the regularor by three nuts with washers. loosen them and pull up on the window, while holding it up tighten up the nuts. Reassemble the door. That should help a bit.

I did the same thing Eagle suggested on an '84 that I had, and between the adjustment and softening up the weatherstrip ( mine was really dry ) it stopped the leaking problem. Also, don't those touchless carwashes use lots of pressure from a lot of angles? If so, the car may not leak in rainy conditions unless it's a hurricane...:cool

Had the same problem on my 1990 drivers side window.

For a quick and simple fix, I slid a 2 or 3 in. piece of double-sided foam tape in behind the weather stripping where it is attached to the top in the area where the leak was.

The added thickness of the tape pushes the weather stripping out a little more and makes a tighter seal with the top of the window glass.

No more leak!
