Help! courtesy (dome) light???

on my 1978 vette i have a problem with the inside dome light. if i put the bulb in it comes on but stays on all the time. the headlight switch does not shut it off and the closed doors does not either. anyone have any ideas on this?

Check your dash lights intensity control to make sure it isn't switching the dome light on. Some folks don't realize that the dome light can be turned on that way. If that's not the case, suspect a ground on the door switch wires.

Courtesy light delay timer...

According to others, disconnect the connectors on the white wires and connect the connectors together to bypass the delay feature.
Some vendors list the timer or you can usually find one on ebay, about $75!

Well, not really a city.
Little town about 30 miles south of Chicago near the Indiana border.
