I've taken the plunge.

I've re-pinned the '82's harness for Dynamic EFI's EBL system. If the weather clears up tomorrow... I will upload a BIN I'm working on and get started tuning.

With the cam I have (comp cams compu-cam), I'm looking at two options-
  • LO5 BIN and go to VE Learn sessions
  • Copy and paste selected parameters from the L98 BIN (like VE, SA, etc) and then go to VE Learn

I've reached out to Rbob for his thoughts... we'll see. Lots of stuff on TGO... most is good... some is just noise that doesn't apply to what I am doing.

Stay tuned.:thumb

I decided on going with a custom BIN.

Starting with the TPI BIN's base SA tables, I copied them over to replace the SA tables for the LO5.

The Compu-Cam is closer to the L98's lift than the 92 Caprice/Roadmaster cam and with the Renegade intake... I figured it wouldn't hurt to go with a closer set of SA tables.

Very impressed!!! No excessive knock and no SES flags set even on my first time out.

I feel really good about EBL, tuning, and flashing. This is really easy too- now I'm thinking I wish I had gone with the P4 version on my TPI swaps.

Anyway- here's what I shook out from the first VE learn-
  • 128 BLM
  • 128 INT
  • 13.9 cAFR
  • A handful of corrections (only around -10 each) within the 40-70s between 1200-3200rpm

X-xfire... you were right- EBL is great!

RBob is a genius in my book. And he's just an all around great guy. Used EBL for many years.
i wish he would do one for the LT-5. Glad it is meeting your expectations.

Testing... conducted a "street start" at 10 mph to 60 mph took about six and a half seconds using the EBL's WUD data logging.
