I got my 84 about 6 months ago for 6.8k w/ 62k miles complete maintenance records etc. All mechanical things since then have turned out to be my own paranoia (I used to like British cars, pity me) frankly the car is just wonderful. I'm just curious, financially speaking, how well I did. I was aware before I bought it 84's could be had cheaper than that and frankly I was looking for a Firebird (It's a family thing) when my vette reached out and grabbed me. To me it just seemed like an awful lot of car for not much money.

Tough call. ;shrug

As long as you are satisfied that's all that matters. ;)

I think you did well, In july I bought a 85 for $5200 with 120k on the clock. the car is in super shape although the interior door panels are trashed. someone will always get a better deal, and someone will always pay more.

I think you got a good deal, Be Happy with it And dont look back at the prices. When I bought my 86 the late 70's prices were falling now and coming back up. Remember that car will never be a 67 big block that people stored to make money. Drive and enjoy what you have thats what its all about.
