cutting out the cats and power/sound change

Hello again.been awhile since my last post. finally got the car out this year.
Anyway, how much power increase would one get by cutting out the catalytic converters? is it noticeable or does it not increase airflow by that much. Is there an advantage to taking out all three or are the aft two enough? also, would it make much difference to the sound?, I am running after market Flowmasters right now.

Sure it will probably flow better, but you have to worry about legal issues with this mod. I know several who take off the pre cats and then buy a EPA approved main cat and run that way.
