From the inside-

From the outside-

From under the hood-

The TPI seems louder on the new engine. The sound of air rushing into the 48mm throttle body is really loud- in fact, it nearly drowns out the side pipes.

:D

Very cool. Good job, DarkShark!

Would love to see your Vette move on video...Nice job...

Sounds good..Looks good..

DarkShark,

Looks and sounds great!:upthumbs

Gives us some of the details when you get a chance. I can only guess that you installed the computer to run it, but how hard was to install, for the 1980's models did not come with a computer, unless it was a California car?

The TPI was really straight forward. My '80 is a 49 state car and did not have an ECM.

Here are some details-
  • Routed the harness through the HVAC grommet on the firewall
  • Using a '7730 91 style computer and the ECM sits below the radio
  • '81-82 Vette large cap distributor
  • Early Iron head TPI intake (1985 Vette)
  • SLP runners
  • Lokar TH 350 cable
  • Hybrid '80 Vette + '89 Camaro TPI throttle cable
  • '89 Camaro plenum, 5.7 fuel rail

Sweet set-up. Did you upgrade to a 4 speed (or 5 speed manual) tranny?
