From the new guy. 87 vette that has fuel indicator on dash that indicates almost always full, wish that were the case. Becomes disturbing if you do not watch the miles driven. Is there a sensor in the tank that can be replaced or is there some other means of repairing this problem. Please advise. Thanks in advance for the help.

The picture below is what is inside your tank to indicate what the level of fuel is in your tank. Remove this then reconnect the electrical connector back up to the sending unit and then move the float up and down while watching the gage. If it doesn't move it is most likely the unit. while you have the unit out look inside the tank and see if the bladder is still intact and not loose making it impossible for the float to move.
