Took the car for a test drive with the new Motor the A/C worked at frist during the Drive the A/C died.
I found it poped the Gauge fuse put a new fuse in poped again.
The A/C control panel is now dead.
Where should I start looking for.
1986 Vett

The gauge fuse supplies power to several items such as ABS module relay, vanity lights, electronic climate control and courtesy light delay timer. I would disconnect each one at a time to find out which one is causing the fuse to pop. I wonder with all the work on your car if a wire short was created.

Yep...

I'd go back to the last thing worked on...the engine bay. Look at the jumper post, the series of wires to that and the grounds and the harness section on the firewall where the block could easily get banged into and pinch wires as the block/trans assy was being dropped in place. The harness section lays down along the left side of the trans and can get pinched.

Those hot wires to the jumper post are sure a good place for a short and so is the bulkhead seal on the passenger side firewall. Bunch of wires to get beat on as the eng/trans assy is lowered. Gte some good lite on those and a pic and separate each wire to see if some are pinched together.

Oh great you guys made my day LOL.
The wire loom is a PIA to get at as you know.

yeah, I know...

Mines got "issues" that have to wait until the motor comes out so I can get to the loom thats hung along the firewall.

It a bad wire from the fuse box to one of the systems I just going to run new wires I already ran wire to the A/C control Panel and the Programer it just to hot to drive with out the A/C it 103 today.

I fix the rest when it cools down.
