Dead Fuel Pump

If you're coming on the tour on Friday, the tech guys are there, as are the quality guys. You'll be able to ask for someone.

I'll forward this link to the quality and customer service guys, and see what they say. We've expended quite a lot of effort to correct the quality issues of a couple of years ago, so I'm surprised it failed.

I'm sorry you've had trouble with one of our products.

I'd like to thank Drjohn and the Holley Team for ignoring my rant. Not only were they most gracious in hosting the Holley Plant Tour, but a brand new replacement fuel pump arrived by courier today.

Thanks, John, for all your efforts. It is sincerely appreciated.

:w

Great news Bob. I would like to add my thanks to the Holley folks who were indeed very gracious hosts on the plant tour and it was very interesting for all of us.

Tom

Thanks for your patience. I was hoping to get you one while you were here, and eliminate my having to parachute into Canada.

Sorry you had a problem originally.

Tom, you're welcome. I wish more people could have fit it in.

They don't know what they missed, it was a great tour. I have been using Holley products for a long time and will continue. The Stealth Ram will be going on the 76 someday.;)

Yes, it was amazing and to all of you who missed it you also missed seeing the bug eyes and drooling from the tour group when we entered the stock room area. Talk about a kid in a candy store. Seeing the processes in the plant and then that WOW!!! I'm sure John has seen that look many times but it is funny to see. Thanks again to Holley and John, it was a fantastic tour and we appreciated the opportunity.:upthumbs

No time like the present.

The 76 is down with coolant and gas line leaks, I just replaced the brake lines and took it out for a spin, when I came back I noticed antifreeze on the floor.
Back up on the lift I noticed fuel line leak at the kick-up:eyerole.
My wife has told me "No more money in the blue Vette untill the Yellow Truck is fixed" so it will have to wait.

hey Tom how about a little competition on completeing our truck projects to get me motivated?;LOL

I have parts ordered for mine. I guess that puts me ahead of you.:L I should have the front end sitting on it's wheels Monday if the parts get here. Then I can clean and paint the frame, put in the new brake lines, set in the engine, get it ready to test fire and run in, and on and on and on .............:W

Then there's the matter of that Holley carb-in-a-box that I want to use. I hope all of the pieces are there. :ugh

I'd really like to know if it's not complete. Send me a message with a thumbs up or down. Thanks.

John,

This isn't a new carb. It's a 66-67 Chevelle/Nova 327/300 carb, list 3230, GM pn 3875964 that I bought disasssembled in a box. It's in very nice condition and I had it boiled but that's all the farther I have went with it. The old Offy intake I'm using has provisions for the '60s style divorced choke so I thought this carb would be perfect to maintain an OEM style choke plus the carb is the right size for this engine for how it will be used. I'm just hoping I don't find any lever or something missing that is unique to OEM Holleys and not available anywhere.

I also want to be comfortable in knowing that the carb will run perfectly when I start my new engine to run it in. I will want to either send it out to someone that can run test it after they rebuild it or find a sucker....I mean friend, that has a Holley on his car and wouldn't mind swapping carbs to test it before it goes on my engine. Don't need raw gas running down my new cyinders because I did something wrong.

Tom

Get on our website, and make the contact with the custom shop folks. Their number should be there. We do custom and rebuild work on all models (you can even get it powdercoated pink if you want). Both of those operations are in the facility here, but you'll get quicker response if you contact them directly. I'm out of the office all week next week.

If you talk to them, they'd be able to tell you if they can help you out.

John,

During the tour I was shocked to learn that you guys not only remanufacture Holley carbs, but Carters and QuadraJets too......others I think.

And, to see the racks and racks of finished and in-process shiney stuff was just fantastic. :eek

What a place to work. :beer

We even do some imports. I didn't get to show you guys some of that stuff, but the powderecoating is pretty cool too. We can match your car, and even do a two-tone chrome+car color piece.

What a place to work. Sometimes, I say it a little differently than you may have meant in the post. :L

Thanks John. When I get to that point I'll contact them. If I make that old carb too pretty I'll have to get a new air cleaner. That drop base hides everything.

We can help you there too. I'm guessing that you'll want some Earl's hose to dress it up as well. Buy as much as you want.

:L How bout I just send you my American Express and you put on anything you think I might like. I think you can go back into the stock room and just follow my drool tracks for reference.

I hope we can come back again next year with a look into the Custom Shop. We will have to make sure that the Corvette plant private tour and the Holley tour times don't conflict again. We may be adding another day on the front of the meet to handle more events.
