dead radio on 1990L98

any of you guys know about what is called heater a/c programmer my radio is dead and manual says to replace programmer anyone ever had this prob. any help appr.

Do you mean your HVAC control module? Not the radio?

no i mean my radio has no power my manual says it might be the heater a/c programmer i would have to take dash apart to find out i was just wondering if anyone else had prob. with radio being dead
