Delco radio "Err" Message

Lately whenever I turn on my radio (2000 coupe), an "Err" message is diplayed on the radio head unit for a brief moment and then the radio will come and work fine. In dash CD player works fine, but will not will not switch to AUX using the CD/AUX button. The previous owner installed a hard wire so that MP3 player can be connected to the radio using the AUX switch, but the operation of this cable and module has been intermittent.

Has anyone had this problem in the past and if so, what was the fix if any.

Hi there,
They may have jacked into the wiring harness for the changer.
Those connections could be compromised.
Lower passenger side fuse panel, verify that there is nothing aftermarket there.
