Detector/Scrambler

Anyone had experince with scramblers? Ijust bought a detector/scrambler RMR_C450. Good choice or sucker?

20/20 did quite an expose on that particular company a while back. Get your money back. There have been a few articles out here in Colorado, the home of the company that made your "jammer"
Do a google search on radar jammers, you'll find it quite interesting. Try looking thru Radar Roys site under jammers. A real radar jammer is quite illegal. The ones Mr. Churchman sells are supposedly passive and mix a bit of white noise into the reflected signal. Lots of luck. Oh, by the way, he and I use to work for
Texas instruments Defense Systems Electronics Group in Colorado Springs. I do have an idea of what it would take to make an active jammer that would really work. Don't think I want to go to jail.

Wish i had posted on CAC prior to purchase. Thanks i learned something. Steve

What I find more amazing, don't know if he really said it or not and I don't think I have the correct verbage but it was something to the effect that he could sell a box filled with rocks and only 30% of the purchasers would return it. Makes one think about the stores that sell these products too. What else have we bought thats a piece of crap?
The ongoing argument in our local Vette club is whats better, an Escort or a Valentine. Personally, I run an Escort and it has saved my *$$ a time or three.
Both are very effective detectors. I understand that the Valentine is more sensitive to Lidar running "stealth mode" than my Escort but we don't have too many laser guns out here yet.

Green felt tip markers for improving the sound of your CD-ROMS?

Hmmm, hadn't heard that one. I suppose it was to "filter" the light for improved frequency response? Maybe it would improve my quarter mile times too:L

Upgrade

When I was looking at upgrading my radar detector I looked at the jammers but could never find reports that rated them very high. I had been running all of the different Escorts over the years and had been very pleased with the products until I purchased one of the last Escorts. When it was time to purchase a new one I opted for the Valentine. At present I am running one in my truck and another one in the C5. As for as I am concerned this is the only unit for me. I have 3 friends that bought the Valentine after they rode in my vehicles and witnessed the performance for them selves................

Alright, Scott, since I don't own a radar detector of any sort, you're taking "point" on the caravan to BG next month! Just keep an eye in your rearview mirror for the "evil, darkness and death" Z06 stalking you the whole way. :L -Patrick

Stalking me???? that will be the day. First time you put your foot down, I'll be sucked thru your intake and spit out the duals in tiny little pieces.
The only time I've ever been ahead of you is the last dinner at the Hickory House! I got there first.;LOL

I plan to stay close enough behind you to prompt you to keep your foot on it a bit. Think of it as an incentive to stay moving to avoid the intake fate you so effectively described. :D

Hmmmmm, guess I could put that "special" license plate frame back on,,,,, that would either keep you back far enough or, if you got too close, leave a vile taste in your "intake" :L
