I don't know if I really care for this look yet. ;shrug

I can't drop the front any due to clearance issues with my scattershield, but I did drop the rear an inch. What do you think, should I bring it back up some?

I just love it during the week when no one's home. :cool

Lookin GOOOOOOD! I think the rear sits OKAAAAY! People will think it's got a worn out leaf from a distance, and you'll be smoking them off the line and through the corners.....

When I do smoke 'em, I noticed it squats somewhat. The black marks are heavier on the insides of the rear tire areas. :bu

Ken always thought that your 87 was one of the sharpest C4's around. cant realy tell the rake of your car because your vette is not on level ground or you have squated down when you took the pic's. the car is clean, the tinted windows, color and rims and tires are working well togather . I whould have to say you have a sharp vette. have to say that I liked it's looks best when you had the the side pipes on it. to bad you could not get them to work ? My 91 cope sites about 1 1/2 in. lower in the frount. this makes the car look like it is leaning slitely forward and has the efect that the car is moving. if I stand at the rear quarter and look forward toward the frount of the car it looks real good. as far as I know it is stock. there must be voulumes about squat and antisquat on vettes and I realey don't now were to send you ? I bet that some of the SCCA members could help on this one? but if your car is squating under aceleration to the point that it is lossing traction on the out side of the tires then it's squating to far. you have uped the power level and need to copensate for it . hevyer shok's or ajustabel links might be something to look into to help control it ? so I hope this helps and whould like to say thanks for all that you and CAC doese for all us car fans..... "Thanks KEN" :gap

Im torn - it looks sharp. but if I didn't know it was on purpose, Id say the rear end was worn out.
(but what do i know?)

hahah
Thanks for showing us - Very sharp !!!

Is this like one of those “no win” questions a woman would ask?:eyerole Example: Does this dress make my butt look fat? No…it’s the fat that makes your azz look fat :( …Ken, get your butt back up where it belongs :booty …looks like it’s starting to get middle age droop. :L

What's a scattershield?

Either drop the front some if you can... even a half inch would do it
or, raise the back some (again, half inch would do it)

It looks mean, but just a bit out of balance... although, I wish I could see it on level ground. It may just be the incline you are parked on. I thought the pic by the water looked fine;shrug

Too low , up a 1/2 .You know you messed up your rear geometry, More anti squat now, but less footprint. :w

i'de raise up the rear some so the car sits even. When you take off it proabbly squats even more in the rear.

Great looking car!

If you can't lower the front I'd try to get the rear level with the front myself. The cars Ive seen "up" in the front like that are tuner dragsters (front wheels driving Hoosiers....ugh)

No way you were gonna suck me into that one :( :L

Sorry Bob, I forgot to get back to your question about scattershields.

A "scattershield" replaces the factory aluminum bellhousing (or steel, as in the case of other vehicles) with a SFI-approved steel bellhousing whose function is just what the implies, that is, to contain and shield the passengers from shrapnel caused by exploding flywheels and/or clutch assemblies.

I utilize a Lakewood bellhousing on my engine:

I think I might try it about a half-inch higher Bob. That way, it'll only take a few turns of a wrench, and the alignment geometry shouldn't be affected very much, if at all. One thing I don't wanna do is pay for another rear alignment. :hb
