I just took my '75 L82 in to have the seats redone and the (appear to be stock) seats have heaters in them, including plugs that were disconnected. I can't see where to plug them in, nor have I seen any type of switch - So, can anyone help me, were heated seats an option in '75????

Thanks a lot!

No...

...but my wife's '99 Lexus RX 300 does!!! Corvettes did not have heated seats-enough heat was provided through the floors and firewall!!! Early '75's had weight sensor switches that was part of the seat belt interlock system like that used on '74's in the seats. No seat heaters!!!

I've got a 74' myself, disconnected all the pressure switch stuff.

In 1974 & the first part of 1975 GM decided to make it so you couldn't start your car until both passengers had their seat belts on. The sensors under your seats detected if someone was sitting there. Towards the end of 75' they realized what a rediculous "safety" requirement that was, and said the system could be disconnected. I haven't run across anyone that HASN'T disconnected it! There should be an open harness under each of your seats and a disconnected set under your dash by the fuse panel. Just leave it, it doesn't effect anything to leave it disconnected. Just push it up under the dash out of sight.
