Are there any differences between these years, besides the '95 rims?

I checked the site, and couldn't find much.

All the same except

93 Had old style interior with no passenger airbag
94 Got redesigned interior, passenger side airbag, storage bins in door panels.
95 the only change was the side gills.

ZR-1 brakes were standard on 95s, and the usual transmission recalibration and differnt clutch packs, changed shock and spring rates, vented optispark.

J55 brakes were standard on all ZR-1's, vented opti obsolete on ZR-1 as it had DFI.

Shock and spring rates for the ZR-1 didn't change.

And the tranny for the ZR-1 stayed the same from 93-95, the change occured inbetween the 92-93 year.

Sorry, I meant specifically between ZR-1's. I didn't specify that because it was on the ZR-1 forum.

I've also heard they fixed "squeaks" over the years?

And what is the difference between the Birmal and A.L. Dunn heads?

If you want to check the differences in year go to ZR1net.com.

There were subtle differences in 94 to 95.

There were several mods to "tighten" the car up--read that velcro and goo.

Sidegills already mentioned.

Interior leather was of better quality in 95 and well as stitching.

Seatbelts were different.

Reverse lockout was removed in 95.

This will probably be hard to answer without personal biases, but which interior do you like better? Does either one have little quirks you have to get used to?

Hmmm the only quirk I don't like of the later cars (91-95) is the power key defaults to the off position on every starting cycle. Like the 90 always on if left on.

The seats for the 94-95 cars are a bit more comfotable for cruising and for larger hipped people. The 90-93 seats are great for holding you in on track days.

Other than that, I love the glove box the 90-93 cars had.

Jeffvette, I believe you can program the power key to stay on all the time. Mine was done by the previous owner at Haibeck. Have never moved the key since I have owned it.
