Hello–I took my LT4 in for routine service, one of the requests was to have the differential fluid changed.
The service manager suggested that I retro fit a traditional style drain plug to make future servicing easier, and more effective because the fluid would drain from the bottom of the differential instead of using a siphon to remove the existing fluid.
I’ve been aware of the retro fit kit, but, I have several concerns:
• I want to keep the car original. Will this take away from the cars value?
• Also, has anybody had this installed, and do you have any pros or cons about the kit.
Thanks!
