Just replaced the differential support mounts on my 77. Just for everyones info, it has been noted in previous notes that it is necessary to drop the drive shaft in order to replace these mounts, not really necessary. It is possible to pry the differential down enough to slide the mounting bolt to one side past the driveshaft. I did have to remove one clip from the universal to remove the old and slip the new top bushing into place. Easier job than I had expected and it also taken care of
the clunking noise I was having in the rear suspension. Have Fun.

Is there any advantage to replacing the differential support with a newer style (Aluminum brace) that came with the later sharks? I believe they are called the "Dana Differential Carrier" A friend of mine has offered me a complete rear suspension and differential out of an '82 Vette. Thanks!

Bill
