I did some searches but couldn't come up with a definate answer, so here goes!
Does the differential from a 71 or any c3 have the vehicles VIN number stamped on it anywhere? And if so where can I expect to find it. I know all about the codes stamped on it telling the gear ratio and build date, I just would like to know if I can expect to find my vehicles VIN number on it, like you would find on the motor and tranny.
