as in the case of #168 compaired to a #194

I don't know how the numbering works. All I know is that there was a special bulb in mine that shines from up above down on the heater controls. It works like a mini flood light directing tbe light out the end of the bulb instead off all over.

Believe that overhead bulb started with the console change in the '77 model. Before that they used the rotary controls and they had a light in the assembly (77 started the use of the slide controls).

tom...

The bulbs will have a cp rating (candle power) most are 2 I think

joe

after 30 years maybe it dimed over time
i'll try another brand,if that is not good enough
i'll try photovettes idea of the LED
although it's been a little cold up here in the north east
to work in my garage---no heat in there!
thanks joe

There is another cp bulb you can try I think it's a 4 cp no one had it in stock around here so I put that on the back burner I was gonna change them all also I found a loose wire on my alt. that helped a bit what mods your 75 got and what kinda projects do you have in store it?If I may ask?

i put in front poly sway bar bushings and end links
after 30 years the stock ones were dried up and cracked
made a difference going around turnes
also put in a hurst comp plus shifter
the old one was loose and the throw was to long
the new shifter is more positive and quicker
