Anyone used this website to order wheels or tires?

I am considering replica C6 wheels for my car...anyone done this yet?

Supposedly they have them @ discount tire direct that do not require any spacers.

Thoughts?

I have dealt with Discount Tire for about 25 years. I won't go anywhere else if I have the choice. I've never been disappointed. Unfortunately, there is no Discount Tire in Kansas so I'm forced to use someone else now. If DT comes to Kansas, I'm going back to DT. I just found out that I can order my tires from DT Direct and have a local shop mount them. That's what I'll be doing in the future until I can get to a DT again.

I first ran into Discount Tire in Phoenix, Arizona. I got a flat in front of their shop on my way home to Tuscon. It was closing time. They pulled me in anyway and stayed late to fixed my tire for me. When I asked them how much they said nothing. I told them that my tires didn't come from DT and they said it didn't matter. I've used DT ever since. I've used DT in several states on several cars and as I said, I've never been disappointed.

I bought a set of tires for the wifes car once. I'd deal with them again, but I have a local place that will beat their price.

Discount Tire guarantees they will beat anyone's price. They have done this for me. When I found tires at Tire Rack cheaper, they sold me the same tires cheaper, ordered them from Tire Rack, and charged me less for shipping.

I just bought a set of the Nitto 555 Extreme tires for my C4 from Discount Tire here in Scottsdale on Wednesday. I got the pricing off their web site which was about $774 out the door including taxes etc. or something like that. I went into the store and told the manager that if he could get that price down to $740 out the door I would buy the tires from him. He asked me when I would like to have them mounted.:thumb

I have bought over ten sets of tires from these folks since I moved to Arizona in 1988 and I personally believe that you can't beat their service. I enjoy watching their pit crew efficiency as they work on my car. They were sensitive to the possibility of body flex when they raised the car so they opened the doors and hood on my C4 to minimize the possibility of cracking a body panel.

Every so often I hear someone say they had a not so good experience with Discount Tires but I chalk that up to someone who probably would complain if the tires were free.

I just wish they provided the same service and pricing for motorcycles.

By the way, if you're into buying American made, please be aware that the Nitto tires are manufactured in their plant in Georgia so buying a set for your vehicle is providing an American with a job. I like seeing that Made In USA as often as possible on the things I buy.

The trip is short,
enjoy the ride,
Denny

They actually almost KILLED US!:ohnoes
Bought a set of rims and tires for our other car from them. We thought all was well for many miles until we popped a bead! Thankfully it was at 25 mph and NOT 65!!!
When we brought the offending tire to a local tire shop they discovered that Discount Tire Direct had Improperly mounted the tires to the wheels not as the type of wheel required and DAMAGED THE BEADS ON ALL FOUR TIRES!

Customer service was pretty apologetic and we ended up with a full refund and we kept the wheels...but I'd rather not risk dieing!
I'd order wheels and tires online again ....but I'd have my local guy who I know and TRUST mount them!

I've bought several sets of tires at discount. They are one of the better ones in my area. But, I'm sure sometimes you run into incompetence as Corvette archives experienced.

Back to C6 repros's on a C4, here you go, I just got them installed by a local discount tire store on Wed. I ordered the Bridgestone RE760 in 275/40/17 front, and 295/35/18 rear from TireRack.com I didn't have to pay any taxes, tire disposal, etc and shipping was reasonable. I bought the rims from a friend who had them on a C5, he upgraded, again and I got these for a very nice price. 17x9.5 56mm offset front, 18x10.5" 54mm offset rear.

Thanks! Your car looks great!!!

Thanks, not too bad for 120k miles & original paint. I try to keep it up, but also drive it quite a bit weather permitting. I installed a complete VBP sport suspension on it so its lowered an 1" or more up front and near that in the rear. The tires clear, a little close on the inside rear parking brake cable, but it has enough clearance to keep it from rubbing. I gave it a good tire scrubbing last night on a mountainous road near my home. :cool Even though they were new, I was impressed with the road holding grip and feeling of confidence thru the 20 miles of switchbacks.
