Is a $1050 parts and labor a rip off for a dealer to install the Opti spark distributor.

Less if you go to "The Last Detail Corvette"

I paid around $300 plus shipping+$5.00 for gaskets+$30.00 for new anti-freeze and did it all myself in about 3 hours. If you want, I can send you an email, telling you how. Its time consuming, but not hard. You dont need allot of tools either.

in all honesty, it is a DIY project.

Expect about $600.00 for parts...

And you will need a waterpump. For sure. no point putting a bad one back in.
 
Yes, they said the water pump will need to be replaced.
 
So does the $1050 include the water pump?

And what else.. new wires.. belts, tensioner???


$1050 for just the opti is a rip... $1050 for water pump ( and coolant flush..maybe a few new hoses) is better.
