Do I need a second one?

Of course the answer to that question is "no", but do I want a second one, of course the answer is "yes". And a third, and a fourth... :L

Anyway, I saw this ad and it got my attention:

1971 CHEVROLET CORVETTE LT1, Convertible, 4 spd, red/black leather and top, new carburetor and brakes, $15,500

I tried calling them a few minutes ago and there was no answer, I'll try again later.

If it really is an LT1, what kind of condition should I expect for $15,500?

Thanks,
Barb :w

You expect excellent condition. Honestly C3's at that price should have matching numbers and all rubber, carpet and paint in good condition.

Can you ever have too much of a good thing, Barb ?.

Barb,

If it's a numbers matching LT-1 for $15,500 its either a great deal or you can figure on having a fairly good sized project.

It maybe mostly cosmetic.

From what I've seen all the early LT-1's (70-72) are $25-30,000 in top condition.

Check the price guides in CorvetteFever and Vette magazine, and have someone that really knows Vettes look at it for you.

Goodluck, and of course you NEED 2 or more!

Rick

Thanks Rick, that's kind of what I thought...

I finally got ahold of her (the seller) over the weekend, and of course it had already been sold. :cry

Oh well, don't have room in the garage right now anyway...
