Does anybody have a picture or a scanned page from an assembly manual that could help me mount the amp for my radio?
I just purchased an original radio for my 73 and I am starting with bare wires.
I have no idea where the amp gets mounted.

Thanks You

Thanks again Tom
I like the new section on the 73 Spot...I just realized the previous owner never put the air induction system back in the car.
Another project!

I have been looking for info on this too. I recently bought a ´71 radio to fit in my ´74. Haven´t tested it yet and don't know if it works, since I mostly bought it for the cosmetical reason.
However, the radio have a side post 3-wire connection, and two pigtails with plugs (one male and one female) at the back with 3 wires each.

a) Anybody knows exactly what is what here, or a good source for wiring diagrams? (I won't get much out of the Haynes book wiring diagrams)

b) Could the radio work without the multiplex ass. and heat sink, and what is the exact function of these?

The amp mounts behind the right side dash up high above the heater box and if you are lucky the old one may still be their. The radio won't work without the amp and the one for the stero radio is much bigger. As for mounting the radio their is one flat brace about 2" long, it fits to a stud on the radio and a stud on the body and the two knob control nuts. The speakers were wired with a plug in harness.
