Hi all,
Did a really stupid thing and popped the sidewall of my front tire. Does anyone know the best place in So Cal (or on-line) to buy a Michelin Pilot Sport AS 245-45-ZR17? Just need one, the entire set has only 5500 miles on them. She's destined to the garage until all 4 shoes are good again.

I got a good deal on Pilot Sport A/S for my wife's car at HW Motorsports in Garden Grove.

How did the sidewall get popped?

Having our front yard re-done and lo and behold, where the old walkway bricks were "rounded" by years of abuse, the NEW bricks are quite sharp!.
As always, try to leave the driveway on an angle to avoid the dreaded spoiler scrape, front right tire and NEW brick kissed, then hissed!!
I said it was a real stupid bonehead mistake.

OK folks, heres the update. The dealer told me that I did not buy the EXTRA tire policy and therefore they could not replace the tire, but, of course, if I wish to purchase it now, they can discount the policy! Yeah, Right! Now Costco has the best price ($251.00 installed) However, 5 - 7 days to order the tire as it has to come from Reno by UPS. Americas Tire (aka Discount Tire) can get the tire for $20.00 more and can get it in 3 days. Oh yeah, they Americas Tire agreed to match Costco's price. SOLD! Of course, it helps that the two stores are in the same center.
