Door Hinge Problem

I have noticed a bit of a sag on the drivers side door on my 96 Coupe. I checked the hinges and on the lower set, the bushings appear to be going or are gone. What is involved in the repair of the hinge set? A job I can do on my own or should I get it to the dealer or my mechanic? Where can I get the hinge and what are the costs? Any help would be appreciated.

Happy New Year to all from the suburbs of Chicago.

UB2, I got the link you sent to work. I will give this process a try. Thanks

RJ,
You can buy a new hindge at your local Chevy dealer for probably $50-$60 or you can get a set of pins and bushings for around $10. You can replace the hindge easily with the door in place, just open the hood and you will see the bolts connecting the hindge. If you replace the pin and bushings you'll have to remove the hindge and either cut the pin in half or drive the pin out with a hammer. The new pin and bushing should drive into place without much trouble.
If door still sags a little, open the door and place a floor jack under outside edge of door covered with foam or rags to protect the door. Loosen bolts on lower hindge mounted to car, raise jack slightly, tighten bolts and carefully check alignment
Good Luck, Tim

Tims93, thanks for the additional info. I think the bushing replacement is what is going to be needed. I am going to try to loosen the bolts on the hinges and make an adjustment and see if it will stay for a while. Thanks for the info.
