Door panels

Any ideas where I could get replacement door panels for an 1988 coupe? I'm told they need replacement to stop the windows from rattleing when they're down. Thanks!

Maybe someone will come along to answer that one. Wouldnt think you would need to replace the door panel to adjust window, that sounds crazy. I adjusted the window on my 71 without relacing door panel, but havent done my 84 yet.

What you probably need are inner and/or outer door seals, not the whole door panel. These run along the top of the door panel and they dry out and crack, allowing the window to rattle. Check out all the normal companies (Ecklers, MAD or Corvette Central) and look for door seals. I haven't had to replace them in my 88 but if I remember correctly there are some rivets that need to be drilled out. Check around in the tech center and I bet you'll find an article on how to replace them.

Ecklers Item# A9211. This is most likely the problem if your seals are ok. The door panels are expensive and i kant see they are the problem. Hope this helps.
