door window molding replacement

Has anyone had to replace their door window molding strip on the door. Cost estimate and is it a do-it-yourself project?

I'm in the process of replacing mine. I brought it to the dealer a few months ago and they told me they had to order the part. No problem. A few weeks later the part arrived. I dropped the car off and found out they only ordered one peice instead of two. Now it's been two more weeks and still no part. Anyway, that's my problem.

As far as do-it-yourself is concerned, let the dealership do it. It's covered by the warranty. Check with you're local dealer first. Good luck.

BTW, why are you replacing it? Mine is defective causing a loud noise while at high speeds and sometimes water gets in at car washes

Unfortunetly, its a 99 out of warranty and the molding looks awful. I haven't tried to clean it yet, thought it might be easier to just replace.
