Door Window Rattle

My driver side door rattles if the window is anywhere other than completely up or down. Is there some adjustment or modification I can do under the door panel to get rid of this problem?

Mine made a noise when going over bumps at a slow speed.
I took the door panel off and the problem was the rod near the lock.
I wedged a plastic fastener in there to stop from rattling.

I don't think there is any adjustment.
Take your panel off, see what it is, and go from there.

Get rid of the window... I am sure this is what is causing the rattling and the noise... The Japs always go to the root cause of problems! First question is "is it necessary?". So ask yourself "is the window necessary?". Since they make these cars with removable tops, the answer is "no"! So, get rid of the glass and there will be no rattling dude

Replacing the outer door seals on my 87 fixed this problem for me. There's a piece that's attached to it that sits on the inside of the door and pushes the window in (along with the new seal doing it too). After 16 years the rubber got worn out.

There are also two adjustable brackets in there but these seem to be for adjusting the top of the window when it's all the way up.

Their are also adjustable felt pads that hold the window...perhaps they are worn or came loose. They are located at the top of the door after you remove the panel....here is a site to assist you in removing the panel.
