Well guys. I have a problem with the battery in my 01 convertible being dead after 3 to 4 days of not driving my car. At first I just figured I had a defective battery, so I replaced it with a nice new Optima. The problem persists! I am wondering if it is my Lo Jack systems. I can’t imagine what would cause such a drain on the battery. I know that there are a lot of modules that draw current during rest, but to this extreme?

I kept my batter in a 1.5 amp tender over the winter to keep it in top condition. I guess it is time to make a service appointment!!

Hi there,
Normally, Lojack will only draw about 15 milliamps. This, in conjuction with other electrical draws may exceed the reserve capacity.
I would suggest that there is something else at work here, causing your problem.
I would suggest that you have this professionally diagnosed.
