Drive That C5 To Work Friday

I will be driving mine home tomorrow afterwork, from the paint shop.
KIX has been there all week, for a little paint job in areas that I think he need. (Face Lift)

Ours went to Florida the end of January with my husband for his golfing trip. I was left at home. Sooo now every sunny, dry day she goes to work with me. I am so happy to have a Z06 that I am going to enjoy every moment. We only go around once and I'm making the most of it while I'm here. My husband is paranoid about the mileage but we only have 13,000 on her and I wouldn't care if she had 130,000. They are ment to be driven and that's what I'm doing.

OK, I'll drive my QuickSilver to work today, but then again, that's what I do EVERY day. Rain forecast for us today but no hail forecast. We really need the rain! This will be only the 3rd time I've driven her in the rain since I got her early in December! and she's a daily driver...

I drive her everyday!

And I dropped the top yesterday and drove her like I stole her! :D

Dwayne - I swear I read in the owners manual that you shouldn't leave them out at night or expose them to unfavorable weather. Am I mistaken? Should I seek professional help?:ugh

This only applies to the convertibles. The little birds like to make deposits inside the passenger compartment.

The birds avoid the coupes (with the tops removed) because they are better looking cars.

I live in upstate NY and I've been driving mine every sunny day that we get! Also, at $3.25 a gallon, driving the '01 is a hellavalot cheaper than driving my Silverado!

Geez - I guess this is one the things that makes this country so great - anybody can voice their opinion.

Remo - If you don't mind a few words of advice...

With your huge Lingenfelter HP increase ya might want to keep ur foot out of her unless you want the rear tires to look like Tammy's old 1's by CruiseFest! :rotfl

Enjoy your ride home this afternoon. :lou

I drove mine to work today (Friday) just like I do every day. I even gave it a bath inside and out last night.

Remo-
I don't know why you are worried about bird droppings. Don't they just kind of blend in with that non-descript gray anyway? ;)

(even though it took $53.00 (US dollars) to fill the tank yesterday, ouch.)

Wow, how much are you paying. I filled up yesterday and only paid $2.87 for 93 oct at a BP station.

Good point Jim. But it's still a lot of work to clean up the ones that make it into the cockpit. Yuke!!!:(

Driven, though it needs a bath from the drive in the rain last weekend. Will get pampered tomorrow morning.

Edit: Guess it's time to change that avatar now that the C4 has been sold...

Hey Remo,

Years ago, I owned my first Corvette - a 1965 convertible. Over the years, I have owned three convertibles.

Enjoy the day!

I drive mine to work everyday 100 miles round trip. I cant think of a better commuter car.

I refuse to spend $500 a month on something like a Jetta, and if I have to spend such a huge portion of my life in a car its gonna be one I love.

We have a saying at the dealership, "miles equal smiles" :) Drive it every day!!!!

Hi Remo,

I did drive mine to work Friday even before I read this post. Aren't you proud of me? I only worked four hours, though, from 6AM to 10AM. Drove in with the top up but on the way home it was TOP DOWN!! And the weather was beautiful in NC on Friday.

These guys did their 'drive to work' day one day sooner than you suggested. Here's the parking lot in Woodriver, Il.
