The threads on the C-6 in the lake and the C-3 that got broadsided reminded me of another "hard luck" Vette tale.
No, this is not another .... "I knew a guy who had a cousin" .... I worked with this clown and it was the end of his Vette. I will respect him and not use his name, but the event did happen on Clinton Avenue by the Trenton/Hamilton border in the late 70's.
He was coming home from ....... "The Nudie Bar" ..... after a "few" .... during a cold spell in February. This guy was the born loser .... he "parked" the Vette atop a fire hydrant. Needless to say in the sub-zero weather ..... the Vette froze solid with all of that spraying water, trapping him inside the car.
The local FD had to shut down the hydrant and then ..... ;squint:
Chop him out ....... :W
The poor Vette ... was a total loss. :ugh
