Dumb Question #3: Are red 'vettes cop magnets?

Honestly, I've had more cop interest with my dark blue 79 Trans Am.

Nice. I had one of those; I bought it in 1979 in the fall of my senior year. THE car to have in high school! It was white with gold badging and pinstripes. That was the only car that I ever got in trouble in. Maybe it was the Smokey and the Bandit thing! I wish I still had that car.

The color, Quicksilver, has no bearing on radar. I have stopped a few Corvette's of that color using radar. K band, laser, they all pick up Corvette's of that color. Radar does not discriminate. :cool

According to American Scientific the peril ascents in Quicksilver paint does not allow radar to detect it.This also is the fastest paint color GM produced .
