Just had it on the dyno today.

253.9 max rwhp
292.8 max rwtq

Mods are flowmaster mufflers, no resonater x-pipe instead and open lid K&N filter.

I expected to dyno at about 270 rwhp with the mods. Am I just being optimistic or are these numbers about right. The only thing I can think of is the air temp was about 85 and car was running at about 205.

Your HP may be a little low by about 5 -10 HP, air temp may be the culprit, but your torque is right up there. Don't be dissapointed these numbers are better than stock from what I have heard.

My stock 96 LT1 (61K) did 253.7/281.5 max about two weeks ago with temp/humidity about 90/70. I don't know what the engine temp was but the car had at least an hour to cool down after I got there before it went on the dyno. (three pulls)..

My 96 LT1 dyno results

This is my 96 LT1 automatic,
basic mods, in sig.
75 deg. temps, 700 ft. above sea level

H.P.- 264.7
T.Q.-290.8 lb./ft.

Your right in line! each dyno can be a little differnt as well.
Barometric pressure, humidity, temp. all play a role

**Gary96LT4 , here on the Action Center, did his same day as mine, it is a 96 LT4, don't remeber exact numbers, something like:

297 h.p.
290 lb./ft. torque

GM advertised a 30 H.P. gain, and it was correct on this day.

I know there's some variations from one dyno to other but the three readings are very close!

As a LT1 owner I'm very curious to see if there are some more dyno posts. I have been searching for a dyno to test my vette down here (Guadalajara, Mx.) but with no success!

fastglass95,

The dyno readings are with the mods in your signature?

(I'm just trying to guess how mine could do)

My 96 LT1 auto dynoed out at 324 rwhp and 317 rwtq. Ohyea, mines not stock. hehehe

Yes,

JBA shorty headers
Corsa Cat-Back
TB bypass
hypertech
160 deg. stat.
cut open air filter lid w/K&N filter

That's about it for the motor.

Tom

Thanks Tom,

I guess my dyno numbers would be very much like yours!
