The dyno that came with the motor from Callaway was 456hp and 440tq!

So, to see what it would do to the wheels I went and had it baselined this morning.

377hp and 370tq. It looks like a 6sp drivetrain has about 18% loss.

Even with the general 15% rule, that puts it at about 440hp at the crank, which is still better than the "435" package would indicate. That's some nice power! At what rpms are the peaks?

Well I don't think we ever hit peak power. On the dyno sheet the technician stopped both pulls at 5800rpm!?!?! Why, I don't know. This shop mainly caters to Mustangs so maybe that's what he's use too.

On the dyno sheet that came with the SNAT435 motor it made it's peak power 456HP at 6250rpms. I'll have to get shopview to scan these for display.

Sounds like a strong running Callaway SNAT!

Did you get any video of the dyno runs??

FWIW, I bet the dyno guy was looking at the tach on the dash and that was why he didn't want to get it reved up too high :crazy

Just out of curiosity, where did you have your SNAT 435 dyno'd? About 1.5 years ago I had my ZR-1 Dyno'd at a place in North Richland Hills & the tech shut it off at 6k rpms.

Down in the Arlington area at a place called USA Motorsport off of Pioneer and HWY 360. I tagged along with a local import group that was offering 2 pulls for $25!

Do you ever venture out on the weekends for any get togethers? I'm still pretty new here and haven't had the chance to get out much.

I don't have a scanner so I just took a digital picture. Notice the typo on the SNAT400!?!!?

If you posted a dyno for SNAT450 and this is a dyno for a SNAT435 then this is a healthy little car :)

Here is a link to the dyno sheet.

Please note the Horsepower rating in on the left and torque is on the right and the graphs are not the same.

You piqued my interest, so I checked out the scanned-up catalog on the CAC site (for about the hundredth time). There's a little blurb that says the '92-93 435's will make more power due to the speed-density system "over 440hp and over 430lb-ft":

That is indeed a dyno sheet from an LT4 SNAT 450

I agree, your car is healthy :upthumbs

By the date shown on the dyno sheet, it must have been done just in time for the Automobile Mag. Article

Good choice on a car Frank, real good! :upthumbs

I haven't been out much lately because of the Holidays, home improvement projects, blah blah. Periodically, I will go to some of the local car shows or get togethers with my brother & some of his friends in the Cougar/Mustang clubs. Shoot me an email sometime if you hear of any good events around.
