Are items on ebay such as complete carpet kits and weatherstriping worth anything. The prices are much cheaper then corvette companies so are the parts cheaper in quality?

Depends on who is selling it.... just like any auction on Ebay.

Not always, however, buyer beware. Always ask your questions like you are asking here to the seller. Ask them where they got the unit, how old it is, and other questions that are pertinent to the item. Sometimes you get a good deal, other times, you get a POS. The old saying is though, you get what you pay for, and sometimes thats true on Ebay. Other times you get a great deal. I've gotten great deals off of Ebay, and I've been burned.

Carpets

Check through the ad- auto custom carpets are pretty good; don't get the
poly backed go for the mass back origional.
Also check corvetteparts.com .

I just bought a carpet set on Ebay from Wilcox Corvettes. Carpet is made by ACC, and some of the major vendors also sell ACC carpets, so in this case it was exactly the same quality but at a lower price.

For example, when you buy something from Ecklers or Corvette Central, they will add the cost of the zillion glossy magazine-type catalogues that they send for free to every corner of the world.

I actually bought my first whole vette off of ebay. Went on looking for a 41 chevy and ended up with a 93 vette. That's where it all started.
