I'm finally getting around to restoring my tach drive distributor.

I recall in a previous post JohnZ and BarryK described the Echlin VC-1765 vacuum advance can.

This unit starts to advance at 5-7" of vacuum and pegs out at 11-13" of vacuum. This is about 2" below the vacuum that my motor is producing - and should add 16º of advance at max. This should work just right with my cam.

I picked one up today at NAPA, got home and noticed although the box is labeled VC1765, the mounting bracket is stamped, "B26". I believe this is supposed to be stamped "B20". Can someone confirm, please?

Thanks.

Ralph

That "B26" (which is a VC-1808) has exactly the same specs as the "B20" (VC-1765); it'll work fine. :)
