My wife bought me some vent screens for my Corvette for fathers day.. they were suppose to get here before then but did not until the week after. the screens look like S**T and have blocks you have to glue behind the screens to attach them, if this isn't some ghetto stuff. i called ecklers to see about returning them and the person was as cold as can be, and after they receive them back it takes 20 days for a refund..

ECKLERS YOU HAVE FOREVER LOST MY BUSINESS

It's the thought that counts! Sorry you got poor quality items, have her consult you on the next "suprise". Late shipping must be the thing this year. I've placed two orders this year w/WCC, both times I've been told things are backordered. The current order has been in with them 3 weeks and just checked the status again. Still on "hold" for a backordered item ?!
:confused

Thanks for letting us in on your experience. I've ordered from numerous vendors but never "them", now I kinda doubt I will either! :upthumbs I'm sure others will disagree, but for me......I remember others pain! Thanks!
;) :beer

I have ordered lots of corvette parts,etc from Ecklers.. and Ecklers seems not to care about their customers now

ive ordered a few things from them and have always recieved the parts promtly and in good condition. ive also dealt with there customer service department a couple of times with good results. though its been about a year since ive used them. what steered me away from them was thier pricing.

I can get my parts an acessories elsewhere, they think they are the only supplier..... i think they will regreat treating customers like they do.

I've heard similiar stories about Eckler's but so far I haven't had a problem with them. I will keep your story in mind when ordering from them in the future.

Late parts from Ecklers

I have ordered from Ecklers for a couple years now, along with Mid America, and Corvette Central. I have on occassion ordered from a few Corvette shops (Vettemasters, Arts Corvette Parts, Tabers Corvette, etc)for hard to find/used parts as well. My last order from Ecklers came after almost 2 months on backorder. Funny part is, I ordered the open air filter cover and K&N air filter to go with it. The frame finally came after 2 months, and 3 days later the filter!! K&N makes the filter as a regular stock item for auto parts stores so i dont see how it can be hard to get. I could have walked into the local auto parts store and bought the filter well before it arrived. I got a good deal on the kit as a promo item, so I ordered it figuring it was in stock and all. BACKORDER!!

I wonder sometimes who they get THEIR parts from, cuz everything always seems to be on backorder now, no matter who you order from. And, some of the items are definitely LOW QUALITY crap!! I can t see how the woudl want to sell the garbage and still expect to be thought of as a reputable dealer for parts.The last thing I ordered form Mid America was door panels and they came from Al KNoch interiors. (See related article on Al Knoch in the forums). Drivers side was so-so for fit but the passenger side was a 1/2 inch short to teh bottom of the door!! No way in hell it was goign to fit! I got in a big arguement with them but couldnt get them to take the panel back, even though I provided poctures showing it was too small.

Unfortunately, nowadays, its a ht or miss situation with whomever you buy from. I certainly will not buy anything from Al Knoch interiors. And I am leary about buying anything without calling the stupid support/order line to find out if the parts I intend to buy are in fact IN STOCK!! Waiting 2 months for parts and being unfriendly to customers is one sure fire way to lose alot of business. Word travels fast in teh corvette clubs and spreads to others as well.

Good luck in the future to anyone who needs to buy anything for your Vette. Its a junge out there!! :bash

I've ordered from Ecklers and never had a problem, but sometimes my stuff will come in a Corvette America box, kinda wierd.

Well it won't make any difference for you, But I've ordered plenty of things from Ecklers and never had a problem. But I'm sure your situation is diferent. but if it's any help, I just ordered some parts over the phone and when I was done, the customer service gentlemen said "I know you want fast service, but with GM in the trouble it is, I can't guaranty excetly when your parts will ship out. So if you don't want to do this order we understand !"

So I think there is problems trying to get parts from a general motors supplier, who also does work for some of the after-market corvette parts vendors. Just keep it in mind when your P*&^ff at any one vendor. Just my $0.02

I was SCREWED by Eckler's.

They took FIVE WEEKS to refund my money after a COMPLETE FIASCO getting a return authorization from them which took FOUR weeks.

Almost two months folks.

What absolute BU||$HIT.

Someone said they don't want customers. You're right cscarlson, you're exactly right. They certainly don't care about FORMER customers, they must have way too many.

I think Eckler's are just crooked and hang onto your money just as long as they can.

I've had good luck with Mid America and semi-reasonable success with Zip.

Jim

I almost ordered from them tonight,will not happen now.Thanks for the heads up.:thumb

Wow, didn't know there was so many problems with them. I was getting ready to order some stuff from thm next week. Maybe not now. Thanks for the warnings.

Hi There;
I have seen lots of posts on other corvette forums complaining about lack of interest concerning purchases.Smart ass remarks over the phone by there employees. If your about to lose your job thats the way people act. I think they are about to go bankrupt.
