Any of you guys upgrading your ECM's ?

It's a Must to make real HP.

My 84' ran in the 13's with a Tuned 8746 ECM.

Let me know if interested I can point you in the right direction.

I think you miss your 84, you should buy another one and work it over, try the new renegade when it gets released.

crossfires rule!!!!!!!!!!

I've done all the PROM calibration changes I'm going to do with the stock ECM. A later ECM is in the plans down the road. Any helpful suggestions are certainly appreciated.

see SPEEDTRONICS

Need to buy you 8746 ECM get Bill's Prominator installed and do some Lap Top Tuning.

Hope this helps

Please! I need all the info I can get! I'm about to recieve my renegade intake and i'm almost sure my stock computer won't work. What do I need to upgrade ECM?

Hi Guy's,in regard to the ECM upgrade,is there any body over there that makes them up so I can just plug it in.I can supply all the spec's for my engine, but 1,I dont know how to doit
2 It is impossible to get the required ECM to make the upgrade.
If any body can do this for me at my cost it would help me a lot.
Building engines is my fort'e
Thanks

Take a look at this... EFI Connection - Connector Search

Introducing EFI Connection's 24x System
EFI Connection's 24x system brings any 1997-2006 LS1/LS6 type engine control module to early/late Small-Block Chevy, late 7.4L Big-Block Chevy, and LT1/LT4 engines. These engines can now receive coil per cylinder ignition, use 4L60E and 4L80E automatic transmissions, T56 six-speed manual transmission reverse lockout feature, cable driven throttle bodies or electonic drive-by-wire throttle bodies.

The Gen III LSx PCMs are POWERFUL engine controllers that can be tuned by most dyno facilities and with popular tuning software like EFILive, HP Tuners, TunerCat OBDII, and LS1Edit. With 2 BAR and 3 BAR forced induction support, nitrous control, real-time tuning support, and advanced data logging, the LS1 PCM has more to offer than most aftermarket ECUs!

EFI Connection offers an LS1 ECM swap kit with all the pieces to go with it- crank sensor, cam sensor, 8 coils, etc. It is a bit more involved than plug and play... but makes for what may be the most advanced ECM and EFI management swap on the market.

Your stock 84 ECM should work just fine with the Renegade, but if you want even more power you may want to go another route. The Renegade was tested using a stock 82 ECM (GM stock chip) and 1227747 on 383 motor using an EBL with custom tune of course.

Bill, Is that what Moates has named the EBL Flash?

No, Moates (Moates.net) makes the Ostrich and RBob (Dynamic EFI) makes the EBL. I run both with my 383 and love them.

Bill & Buc, I'm compiling data to help me determine a reasonable engine upgrade path (i.e. what parts, what order, what needs to be done together). Big plus to get information from guys with your experience. Thanks for the replies.

Hey Criste, I'm not sure what you have in mind in the way of a motor build so it would be hard to say anything on what might be a possible route to take. How deep are your pockets, it may get expensive depending. Are you registered over at Crossfire Injection Vault forum? CrossFire Injection Forum

If not, jump on over there and get busy. :thumb You also can send me mail if you like.
