Still haven't gotten the professionally tailored Holley 780 yet but I couldn't resist tweaking the 1407 some more.
Putting in the large( "43"'s) accelerator pump nozzles made a huge difference. No more bog off the line or mild acceleration stumble. Still a little low RPM cruise roughness.
