egr and ads superchip

my egr isnt working in my 91 350 tpi. I get pinging when it shifts into overdrive. I unhooked the egr solenoid and never thru me a ses code 32. I opened up the bottom of computer and there a ads superchip installed
Would that be why the egr isnt working and what's my next step to fix it.

I am no expert but the EGR is important and really don't effect performance . If it were mine I would try to find out if the chip disabled the EGR if it does I would get a diff chip that doesn't disable it . I would think even a used factory chip would be better than not having the EGR work . Keep in mind this is one opinion.

It would be great if you could put in the stock chip if you have it. I don't know much about the EGR systems but did find this interesting article.... not sure if it will help or not.

The only place the EGR might be important is in cold weather, otherwise it’s a waisted part.
The tuner turned it off, tuners do this for a good reason.
Pretty much all you can do is try to get a tune that doesn’t mess with the EGR if your that persistent to have it functioning.
With it unplugged are you still having issues?
I’ve deleted a few EGR’s on a couple of vehicles, one is now residing in NY,(sold) the other I still have.
EGR’s will cause performance issues if they are not working 100%.
